BGC Housing Group – Investing in WA Homes of the Future

Michael BartierBGC Australia has today announced the creation of a new residential building group to provide Western Australian homebuyers with an unparalleled level of expertise and customer service. BGC Housing Group, to be based in new premises at Osborne Park featuring a multi-million-dollar state of-the-art showroom, will incorporate the existing operations of BGC Residential and J-Corp.

Executive General Manager Michael Bartier said BGC Housing Group would build on the company’s long established reputation for quality while delivering a new level of customer service for WA homebuyers.  “At BGC we have a proud tradition of innovation, affordability and excellence and we have provided strength and stability to the state’s building industry for decades,” he said.  “As the State’s biggest home builder, we are investing with confidence in the future to ensure local home buyers continue to enjoy a seamless home building experience. “The creation of the BGC Housing Group is testament to our long-term commitment to building quality homes for Western Australians and improving affordability by driving construction innovation.”

Mr Bartier said construction of the multi-million-dollar pre-start showroom is expected to begin in November 2019, with the group scheduled to move in on completion in 2020. The new 900sqm showroom is conveniently located on Walters Drive, Osborne Park, near some of Perth’s biggest homeware and furniture retailers. It will feature an expansive range of home building products and materials with clients able to access in-house interior designers to discuss the latest trends in design and floor plans.

Customers will also have access to the latest in virtual reality technology, allowing them to experience the look and feel of their new home. The headquarters will be home to Western Australia’s most well-known building brands including:

  • Now Living
  • HomeStart
  • WA Housing Centre
  • GO Homes
  • Commodore Homes
  • National Homes
  • Stratawise
  • Impressions the Home Builder
  • Developments by Impressions
  • Terrace Homes WA and
  • Perceptions Homes

Mr Bartier said the BGC Housing Group had increased its market share during 2019, despite difficult industry conditions.

“We have a strong pipeline of work and we are confident market conditions will improve,” he said.

“There has never been a better time to build in our State and we want to ensure our clients and our staff have access to the best pre-start showroom and facilities available.

“We are investing heavily in our display home program with more than $50 million in new displays planned and active across Perth and in the South West.

“We are also expanding our operations by adding BGC Development to the BGC Housing Group. This will significantly strengthen our capabilities in medium density projects such as those associated with the State Government’s METRONET precincts.

“We are investing in growth and we are proud to remain WA’s most trusted homebuilder.”

BGC Australia employs more than 4000 people and has been the state’s largest residential builder for more than 10 years.
